We are a growing construction company seeking a dependable and motivated Carpenter Helper to support commercial construction projects. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn carpentry skills, develop hands-on experience, and grow within the construction industry.

The Carpenter Helper will assist carpenters and field crews with daily construction activities including material handling, jobsite preparation, cleanup, and basic carpentry tasks under supervision. This position plays a key role in supporting productivity, safety, and jobsite organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist carpenters and crew members with daily construction activities 
  • Move, load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment 
  • Perform basic carpentry tasks under supervision 
  • Help with framing, drywall, insulation, and general construction support work 
  • Maintain clean and organized jobsite conditions 
  • Set up and break down work areas as directed 
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times 
  • Identify and report safety hazards to supervisors 
  • Use hand tools and basic power tools as directed and trained 
  • Support multiple trades and crews as needed 
  • Assist with measuring, cutting, and material preparation under supervision 
  • Maintain punctuality, reliability, and professionalism on the jobsite 

Qualifications:
  • No experience required, construction experience preferred 
  • Willingness to learn carpentry skills and follow instructions 
  • Ability to use basic hand tools with training provided 
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude 
  • Ability to work in a team environment 
  • Basic understanding of jobsite safety practices preferred 
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required 
  • Valid driver’s license preferred 

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the day 
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials and equipment 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with heavier lifting performed with assistance or team lifting when required 
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions 
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and active construction environments 
  • Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and basic construction tools
